GUEST POST: HOW TO GET RID OF SUDDEN BREAKOUTS
This is a collaboration with the awesome Beth Martel. It is the perfect adjustment to last week’s blog post. And that’s why I want to share it with you guys now. The tips she is giving are very helpful so…
Were you excited for an event coming up and suddenly this huge prominent zit appeared on the most visible part of your face just at the eleventh hour? Well, the good part is you are not the only one. Breakouts know exactly when to pop out and take all your confidence down in a minute.
There is no magical potion that can just make it go away in a second. But the good news is, there surely are some easy-peasy and really effective remedies that help puncture it in a day’s time. You can then easily conceal it a little once the bump is gone. And there you go, all set to head out with cent percent confidence.
So here are some of the quick and easy on pocket remedies that helped me big time and surely will help you too:
- The Magical Honey and Lemon Mask:
Either your skin is super oily or dry, this mask works wonders on all skin types. The antiseptic properties in honey help reduce the swelling and redness of the zit. Moreover, the scars are also faded away by the consistent use of this mask due to the bleaching properties of lemon. Using it ritually prevents the skin from breakouts and gives it a natural glow.
- Non-gel Toothpaste:
It is often unacceptable for us to use toothpaste for anything other than what it is for. But everything can be used for multiple purposes and so can toothpaste. Applying a white and non-gel toothpaste which is not a whitening one can help your breakout to die overnight. All you need to do is wash and cleanse your face and then take the tad bit of toothpaste. Apply it carefully on the pimples only. Leave it there overnight and wash it off as soon as you are up and you will see the magic.
- Ice It Down:
Ice is the safest and easiest remedy for your stubborn zit. Applying it on your pimples will help reduce the size of the zit and inflammation as well. It also shrinks the pores and prevents acne in the long run.Use a mild cleanser and wash your face. Take an ice cube and massage it over your pimples in a circular motion. Keep doing it until the ice gets melted. Pat dry your skin in the end and apply a face bandage before you go to bed.
- Keep The Skin Clean:
A major reason of sudden breakouts is not washing your face after you come home from somewhere. The dirt slowly settles in the pores which result in more sebum and the end result is a huge zit and a clueless YOU. Therefore, make sure your face is all cleaned and makeup free once you step inside your home. Exfoliate twice a week as well to ensure that there are no traces of dirt or oil building a surprise for you at all.
