The Explosion

by Martin Hannig

„…every new beginning, comes from some other beginning’s end“-Semisonic, Closing Time.

It sometimes happens in life that we have to lay down some ideas and visions or give up wishes and hopes. Every time that happens, this line if the song „Closing Time“ by Semisonic, goes through my mind over and over again. Maybe, for the reason that it simply describes how it is. The more I think about it, the more I believe that there is no absolute ending. It is more a canon. A repetition, a coming and going. We as human beings tend to feel uncomfortable or anxious about endings because we sometimes don’t know what the next chapter may hold.

The image of a dying star is appearing in front of my eyes. The cosmos is a canon of perfection. Stars are born by the impulse, by the changing equilibrium, caused by the explosion of another dying star. Death and birth. I think that is how it is. Some endings are an explosion of something marvelous. Maybe that is how it is.

  • Its like you read my mind! You appear to know so much about
this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with a few pics
to drive the message home a little bit, but other than that, this is magnificent blog.
A fantastic read. I’ll definitely be back.
